Plating, gold and everything in between

The gold jewelry in the store is made in a variety of techniques, so I wrote a short explanation about each of them:

Gold coating:
Gold plating was created to allow people gold jewelry at affordable prices. It exists in different qualities and can be made on a variety of metals. Gold plating is done using the technique of immersing the jewelry in a gold bath, splashing, marker, and more...
There are different thicknesses of coatings and the durability of the jewelry is affected by the thickness and quality of the coating. It has always been very important to me to provide you with high-quality coatings. After several years of in-depth testing, I arrived at the type of coating that is most suitable for each piece of jewelry so that you can enjoy the jewelry for a long time. The coatings are available in yellow and red gold (rose gold).

Important Information
- Our coatings do not contain nickel (a substance that many girls are sensitive to and that is present in many pieces of jewelry)
- The metal under the coatings is 925 silver or brass.
- You can shower with the coatings, but it is not recommended that they come into contact with perfumes, creams and oils.

Goldfield:
One of the most common questions is "What is the difference between gold plating and goldfield?"
A common mistake in our world today is the thought that goldfield is gold plating - it is not.
Goldfield is a layered metal - in which the gold (the top layer) is connected by heat and pressure to another base metal (brass/copper) because the top layer is 12-14K gold, this creates maximum durability.
(Goldfield jewelry will contain between 3-5% pure gold) Goldfield has its own stamp to distinguish it from other jewelry: 14K GF 1/20.

The goldfield comes in yellow and red gold (rose gold).

Goldfield, like silver and gold solder, may be sensitive to harsh substances such as chlorine, sulfur and other chemical substances (perfume, creams, oils) and even to the air if it sits outside for a long time or in a jewelry box with a sponge. All of these can cause it to oxidize (change color) - but..! It can always be cleaned with a silver cleaning cloth or by bringing it to the store.

That is why it is recommended to wear the goldfield jewelry, shower with them and do everything with them, because the daily use cleans them and prevents oxidation.
If you do not wear the jewelry on a daily basis, it is recommended to keep it in a small, sealed plastic bag to reduce contact with the air.

Gold soldering:
A lot of people ask about our gold soldering; This is a special technique that we do especially for rings
(which are prone to higher wear than other jewelry). It is performed by soldering a thick layer of 14k gold on the ring made of 925 silver or brass. The process of soldering the gold on the ring creates durability and strength over time.
You can shower with them, wash your hands with them, etc.
We developed the method with our chemist in order to provide a solution for quality rings that are not destroyed quickly but at more affordable prices than solid 14k gold. Soldering comes in yellow and red gold (rose gold).
The solder, like silver and goldfield, may be sensitive to high humidity, harsh substances such as chlorine, sulfur and other chemical substances (perfume, creams, oils) and even to the air if it sits outside for a long time or in a jewelry box with a sponge. All of these can cause it to oxidize (change its color) - but..! You can always clean it with a silver cleaning cloth or by bringing it to the store.

That is why it is recommended to wear the soldering jewelry, shower with it and do everything with it (except the perfumes and the others mentioned above), because the daily use cleans it and prevents oxidation.
If you do not wear the jewelry on a daily basis, it is recommended to keep it in a small, sealed plastic bag to reduce contact with the air.

18K/14K gold:
There is no gold on it 🙂
Gold is a noble metal, which does not oxidize, you can do anything with it (perfumes, creams/oils, etc.). In the vast majority of cases, it does not cause skin sensitivity/infection, so it is excellent for girls who are sensitive to metals.
The gold we know in jewelry is actually an alloy (mixing of metals).
One of the characteristics that affects the value of the gold jewelry is the karat mark K - that is, how much gold is in the jewelry. Gold jewelry is measured in karat, an ancient unit of weight that today determines the purity of the gold in the jewelry.
K14 gold - can also be called 583 gold because 583 is the amount of gold out of the 1000 in a ligura. The rest are other metals. (sometimes also signed as 585 because they circle the number)
K18 gold - can also be called 750 gold because 750 is the amount of gold out of the 1000 in a ligure. The rest are other metals.
White gold - white gold is made like yellow gold, only palladium is added to its ligature and that is what makes it whiter. In addition, most white gold jewelry is rhodium plated which gives them their final color that we all know. White gold is also measured in karats like yellow gold.
Red gold (Rose Gold) - Red gold is made like yellow gold, except that more copper is added to its ligature and that is what makes it redder. Red gold is also measured in karats like yellow gold.
